Our mission is to advocate for safe, legal, and accessible abortion care for every individual seeking support, while championing comprehensive reproductive healthcare and education. We serve all who honor reproductive health, justice and advocacy in Louisiana by facilitating collective impact, coordinating mutual aid, and investing in impactful community outreach to ensure a vibrant and resilient movement for bodily autonomy.
A Little Bit About Our History
In 2022 in Lafayette, following the overturning of Roe Vs Wade, several activists created Reproductive Freedom Acadiana. Its mission: championing reproductive healthcare and bodily autonomy by mobilizing people, working with partners, and distributing resources to the community. After four years of community involvement and action with LCRF, RFA grew and became LCRF Acadiana. Our mission remains the same while the coalition allows us to strengthen our community impact and increase access to resources.
LCRF Acadiana Community Programs
Resource distribution: we offer free contraceptives and harm reduction items: emergency contraception, birth control pill, condoms, dental dams, pregnancy tests, Narcan, fentanyl tests, injection cleaning kits.
Advocacy: we create a safe space for community members to share their experience and become reproductive freedom advocates.
